I'm Janie Dufault, the artist and maker behind every piece in this collection.

My journey into glass art began during my early years in Seattle, watching artists at the torch transform simple rods of glass into breathtaking baubles. I've always been drawn to working with my hands — a drive that led me to a career as an operating room nurse and later an acute care nurse practitioner, where creativity and precision came together in the service of healing.

As the years passed, glass art became my sanctuary. I explored flameworking, hand-cut mosaics, and eventually glass fusing — each technique deepening my connection to the medium. My love of Nature, shaped by years of gardening, hiking, and scuba diving, found its way into every design and color choice I made.

Now, retired from medicine, I've fully embraced the magic of glass art. I create pieces I believe can enhance your home and bring genuine joy into everyday life. Many of my works — especially my mosaics — also carry a deeper purpose: delivering positive messages in support of our Environment.

That connection between the natural world and molten glass is what drives me to the kiln every day.
